Description

Name: Professor Layton

Universe: Professor Layton

Entrance: The Layton Mobile drives onstage and Prof. Layton gets out. The car drives off and Layton tips his hat then gets ready to fight.

B- Slot Machine Gun- Layton pulls out the Slot Machine Gun from “The Unwound Future” and fires a barrage of coins forward. The machine fires 5 coins per second, each only dealing 1.5 DMG and no knockback, but can make opponents flinch. You can hold B to make Layton fire the machine gun for a while, but you can only fire for a combined total of 6 seconds. After that, the machine gun becomes empty and needs to be refilled. Press B again once the machine gun is empty for Layton to pull out a handful of coins and reload the gun. Reloading takes about 2.5 seconds and leaves Layton wide open for an attack however, so you would want to be far away from opponents while reloading.

Side B- Have at You!- Layton takes out a rapier sword and says “Have at you!” and enters a fencing position. He takes three steps forward and then releases a horizontal sword swing. This sword swing deals 14% DMG and impressive knockback. Along with that, if an opponent is holding onto an item while hit with this attack it will automatically disarm them of the item (excluding badges), if they have any pieces of the Dragoon or Daybreaker, they will lose one piece they are holding onto.

Up B- Umbrella Propeller- Works like Snake’s Cypher and reaches the same height as the Cypher, Layton takes out Don Paolo’s umbrella from “The Eternal Diva” and propels himself upward. Once reaching the peak height, Layton will fall back down with the umbrella in hand. Once falling, you can press any attack button to make Layton perform a spin attack with the umbrella.

Down B- Camera- Layton yells “Smile!” then takes out a camera and clicks a picture. The camera lets out a large flash, about as tall as Layton and as wide as King Dedede, in an attempt to blind opponents. If an opponent is caught in the flash a few different things may happen. If the opponent is facing away from the camera, they take 4% DMG and no knockback. If the opponent is facing the camera, they receive 8% DMG and will be put in a dizzy state for a second or two, much like Mewtwo this depends on how high the opponent’s DMG meter is.

Final Smash- Puzzle Solver!- Layton points forward and yells “Aha!” as a large Layton symbol appears in front of him, roughly the size of Mega man’s shot before initiating his final smash. If any opponent is caught inside this symbol, they are transported to a dark room very quickly. While in this room, a simple but quick puzzle will appear for Layton to solve. The puzzle is similar to a Warioware game, as to not make it too difficult, and is controlled with the analog stick by moving a hand icon over items. The puzzles that may appear are a sliding puzzle to reveal a picture of a smash ball, a guessing game, place a couple puzzle pieces, and a target shot game. Each puzzle will have 5 seconds to complete, if completed in time Layton will have a spark come from his eye as he points at the screen and any opponent caught is sent flying with 52% DMG. If he fails to complete a puzzle on time or nobody is caught in the symbol, Layton snaps his fingers and says “Drat…”

Taunt 1- Layton crosses his arms and says “Excellent!”

Taunt 2- Layton tips his hat in a gentlemen like fashion and says “Good form.”

Taunt 3- Layton strikes a pondering pose and says “This may be tricky…”

Defeat Pose- Layton Claps for the victor with a smile on his face, a true gentleman accepts an honest defeat.

Victory Pose 1- Layton tips his hat with one hand behind his back and says “Good match!”

Victory Pose 2- Layton wipes dirt off his hands then tips his hat and says “Well met warrior!”

Victory Pose 3- Layton and Luke point forward with smirks and Layton says “A true gentleman leaves no puzzle unsolved!”
